Scott Compton
"the professional's magician"
Scott Compton is a 30 veteran of the entertainment industry as a performer. He has entertained audiences from Key West to Las Vegas with his unique style of comedy and magic, as well as his music.
A born performer, Scott would frequent the local soda shop and offer to sing songs for nickels placed into a plastic thermos cup at just 5 years old. Just as many other magicians, Scott's interest in magic began as a child as well. At 8 years old he received a magic set for Christmas and he immediately began performing for anyone that would watch him. He found the library had a section on magic books, and began reading all of the books that he could find. A musician since his early teens led to Scott performing magic and music throughout Hampton Roads, VA. As his interest led more toward magic his performances began to include more magic and less music.
A retired systems engineer for digital imaging companies allowed Scott to incorporate magic into his presentations of various office products. Working with several large corporations, Scott's magic was presented at trade shows and conventions throughout the southeast, eventually relocating to Nashville in 1995 and finally settling in east Tennessee in 1997 where he presently resides.
In the Compton household, magic is a family business. Scott's lovely wife Marisa is his qualified assistant, and their sons, Charlie and Christian Compton, are performing magicians as well..
Scott is a past Vice President and Board of Directors member for the International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring 58 in Knoxville, TN, and is a graduate of McBride's Master Magician's School in Las Vegas.
Scott is the owner and operator of Scott Compton Magic Shop in Gatlinburg, TN.
